Kaye Martino graduated with 370 hours from the College of Botanical Healing Arts in Santa Cruz, CA as an Essential Oil Practitioner. COBHA is a non-profit school certified by the California Bureau of Private Post Secondary and Vocational Education. Kaye also has a BA in Human Service Counseling and Administration.

Today, more and more people are turning away from conventional health care toward alternative health care, which offers safer, gentler methods of bringing relief; particularly for those with chronic conditions. One of the popular alternative modalities is Essential Oils, commonly referred to as Aromatherapy.

Aromatherapy is a holistic treatment, which produces a physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental sense of well-being. The predominant method of application is inhalation and massage.

Essential Oils can be extracted from plants and flowers, petals, twigs, bark, roots and seeds. They are mostly in liquid form. However, some essential oils can also be found in resin form, for example: Frankincense or Benzoin.

The use of essential oils draws upon healing methods that have been used for thousands of years. The essential oils work with the body in a synergistic manner to bring balance to the *wholeness of the body*, instead of the symptom-oriented approach taken by conventional medicine. When you smell one of these oils, you can close your eyes and feel like you are standing near the actual plant.
